Sometimes you just need to drive to Bowling Green (Indiana, not Kentucky).  So I did.  I’ve found it’s an enjoyable drive.  Just keep heading west on 46 and, after passing mighty metropolises like Smithsville, Ellettsville, Spencer, and Vandalia, you will arrive in booming Bowling Green.  Why stop there?  Well, $2.94 a gallon – that’s why.  Simply put, some of the longer stretches of the drive show you Indiana and why you love it.  The old barns, rusted silos, and the five o’clock sun shining down on the corn (shut up, you can see it) take your mind off the world for awhile.  Right now, that world is law school applications, and it’s becoming quite the beast.  Writing/attaining different personal statements/letters of recommendations for different schools takes time and patience – I have both at times, but it’s managing them that creates the roadblocks.
